We are thrilled to share with you the latest update on our efforts to empower the deaf community in Abuja, Nigeria! Our team recently paid a courtesy visit to the Honorable Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, with the aim of exploring ways to collaborate and amplify our impact.
The visit, which took place on 24 October, 2025, was a significant milestone in our journey. Although the Minister was unavailable due to an impromptu meeting, his warm reception and brief chat in the waiting room set the tone for a productive engagement. We were subsequently referred to the Honorable Chief of Staff, Mohammed Funsho Abdullahi, who graciously welcomed us and engaged in a fruitful discussion.
The meeting was a resounding success, with the Honorable Chief of Staff demonstrating a deep understanding of the challenges faced by the deaf community and expressing his commitment to supporting our initiatives. We are delighted by the prospect of working together to create a more inclusive and accessible environment for persons with disabilities.
Our team, led by Amb. Mrs. Mojisola Williams (CEO), Mr. Hosea Hamdan (HOD), and Ms. Felicia Bamidele (PRO), is energized by the positive vibes and promising prospects emanating from this meeting. We are confident that our partnership with the Ministry of Youth Development will yield tangible results and contribute significantly to the empowerment of the deaf community.
